The impressive portrait of Dirk Nijland with cap (80x75cms) from 1952 is in line with the portrait 'Dirk Nijland in his studio' (85x100cms), painted by Sierk Schröder at a later date. This portrait is already owned by the foundation.

The private person who exclusively offered the works to the foundation, showed much consideration in his decision to contribute to the public interest which is served by the Sierk Schröder Foundation in accordance with its statutes.
