Sierk Schröder's cover illustration in colour for the eleventh edition (1938) of W.G. van der Hulst's popular children's book Jaap Holm en z'n vrinden (Jaap Holm and his friends) has been used for the chapter on Protestant and Roman Catholic children's books in the Netherlands and Flanders in the 19th and 20th centuries, compiled by Dr. Jacques Dane and Professor Dr. Rita Ghesquiere. This chapter is part of the new history of children's literature, issued by Bert Bakker in 2013
